Unite Gravenhurst is a new program organized by the Gravenhurst Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Trinity United Church, and other local groups, organizations, and businesses interested in working together in efforts to recognize and encourage volunteerism in our community, as well as streamlining volunteer opportunities.
The goal of this program is to provide volunteer information and opportunities directly to potential volunteers, creating awareness, and allowing them the ability to easily try a magnitude of roles with different groups and events, without having to seek out organizers themselves, or commit to joining a specific group.
For organizers and volunteer coordinators this approach will help aid their search efforts in a more time efficient, wide-spread, and convenient way.
We encourage all potential volunteers to sign up to our dedicated Unite Gravenhurst volunteer mailing list! Through subscribing, interested individuals will have volunteer “listings” emailed directly to them, outlining the details of each opportunity: date, event, role, time commitment, organizer/volunteer coordinator’s contact information, etc.
We hope to evolve this program into a partnership of community groups and organizations interested in working together to support each other's initiatives to the benefit of our community as a whole.
