Earlier this month we told you about Gravenhurst Chamber member Peter’s Players becoming one of 62 small businesses that received a $10,000 CBRN grant through the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Now we have this great video of Michelle Swanek discussing how Cvoid has impacted Peyer’s Players and what this financial reward means to the business.
She explains that Peter’s Players’ livelihood depends on group gatherings and coming together, which resulted in them being greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
As entrepreneurs, Peter’s Players has had to be creative to keep their business afloat and remain a hub of entertainment for their community.
Peter’s Players aims to use the Small Business Relief Fund grant to purchase equipment for artists to perform safely along with ensuring the health and safety of their employees and volunteers. They are also hoping to launch drive-in concerts in partnership with the Muskoka Drive-In movie theatre.
Swanek emphasises the community’s excitement to get out and enjoy Peter’s Players once again amidst this new normal.
