Rob Engman – Chamber Board of Director

Rob moved to Gravenhurst as a full-time resident in 2010 to escape the urban life.  Rob started his career in broadcast media with CKVR (in Barrie) which led him to opening his own businesses in digital media and production. When Rob and his partner, Karla, moved to Gravenhurst – in addition to publishing TAPS magazine and hosting the Canadian Brewing awards – they began planning their next business: Sawdust City Brewing Company.  In the summer of 2014, Sawdust City opened it’s doors to Gravenhurst as a craft brewery; in April 2016 the brewery celebrated their 1-millionth can of beer sold. Rob likes the small-town feel and sense of community, as well as, Gravenhurst’s proximity to YYZ in the winter months. Rob serves the Chamber Board as the organization gives a collective voice to the business leaders of Gravenhurst.  He feels the organization offers a platform to effect positive change in the community.
