Bob Collins – Gravenhurst Chamber of Commerce Past President/Gravenhurst Home Building Centre Owner

Bob Collins moved to Gravenhurst in 2004 to invest in the Home Building Centre Gravenhurst. In 2010, the Home Building Centre expanded to a 20,000 square-foot store with 15,000 square-foot storage buildings and a new lumber yard in West Gravenhurst at 1111 Highway 169 (just 2 km past the Muskoka Wharf). Today, the Collin’s family-owned business continues to support a large contractor base, but also, services both the local and cottage customer clientele. Bob has served the Chamber Board of Directors since 2008 and has held the role of President since 2013.  He joined the Chamber board because he enjoys giving back to the community, wants to make a difference and is committed to making Gravenhurst a great place to own and do business. Prior to settling in Gravenhurst, Bob lived in communities across Canada.  He feels Gravenhurst has “untapped potential everywhere,” and enjoys the community’s small-town charm and the easily-accessible amenities. With great golf, unmatched scenery and a positive business climate, Gravenhurst is easy to call home for his business and family.
